Born in Edinburgh, Henry moved with his family to where the railway business (his fathers employment) took them. As a teenager, Henry's family settled in Newport and eventually he moved to Tayport where for 21 years he was employed with Scott & Fyfe (the local textile manufacturer) as a technician.
Henry's wife, Dawn, follows in the tradition of generations of her large family in that she has lived in Tayport all her life. A particularly piece of family history is that, in the late 1950s her father, Maurice Milne, was a local celebrity - as a professional footballer! He played for Dundee United, later transferring to Gloucester and also Norwich City before hanging up his boots to return home to Tayport following injury.
It was Dawn, and her artistic requirements, that originally led to the forming of Henry's Cynicus Picture Framing. Her need for frames of all shapes and sizes to be bought and made up for her own art work demanded a professional and trustworthy service.
Henry has been a craftsman of the framing ilk for quite a while and upholds the emphasis that, "Our aim is to provide an excellent service for our customers using quality materials at reasonable prices."
